It’s a hot topic, guaranteed to polarize and confuse. After all, there’s a lot of information out there, and just as many ways to spin it. In this age of information abundance, it’s tough to know what to believe, what carries weight, what is important. Throw into the mix the fact that scientific terms don’t mean the same thing in lay-language, and you have a recipe for a loud evening (my favorite is “scientific theory”).
